  • On the official FEWA website, create an account.
  • Choose Customer from the list of “E-services” under the “Services” menu.
  • Activate New Consumer Service.
  • Complete the online application and provide the necessary documentation.

Within 24 hours, your application will be approved, and another 24 hours later, your power and water will be turned on.

After your application has been approved, you will have six days to pay your deposit online. The answer to the question “How much is the FEWA deposit” is either AED 1,500 or AED 2,000.

When applying online, there are no fees associated with service activation. The service is offered without charge.


You will require the following documentation in order to activate your water and energy services:

  • Copy of an Emirates ID (Front and back)
  • Tenancy agreement that has received municipal approval (for tenants)
  • Deed of title or ownership (for owners)

Through Al Ansari Exchange, Al Fardan Exchange, and UAE Exchange, you may also pay your water and power payment.

In order to limit the use of paper, they also provide a “Green Bill” by emailing consumers their monthly power and water bills.

There are a few considerations to make when paying your FEWA bills using a credit card:

  • AED 20,000 is the maximum amount you may make using a credit card.
  • With a credit card, just five transactions are permitted each day.
