ASSIGNMENT BY CATEGORIES

A classic car is examined in two ways in the UAE: visually and for safety. The classic cars are classified based on the results of these tests. They are as follows:

A – Cars in category A are permitted to travel 10,000 kilometers per year on all UAE highways. Cars made between 1950 and 1970 are often classified in this category.

B – Owners of these cars are permitted to drive them across the UAE up to 5,000 kilometers per year. This category includes automobiles manufactured before to 1950.

C – These vehicles are not permitted on Dubai streets due to speed constraints, as some Dubai roads have a minimum speed limit of 60 km/h.

D – Cars in this category should not be driven in the evening due to equipment such as headlights that are insufficient for low-lit regions. You may, however, drive them throughout the day.

E – Category E cars can only be driven on service and internal roads.

F – These vehicles are purely for show.
